Isaiah 43

Israel's Only Savior

1 But now thus says the Lord, He who created you, O Jacob,    he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you;    I have called you by name, you are mine. 2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;    and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned,    and the flame shall not consume you. 3 For I am the Lord your God,    the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.I give Egypt as your ransom,    Cush and Seba in exchange for you. 4 Because you are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you,I give men in return for you, peoples in exchange for your life. 5 Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your offspring from the east, and from the west I will gather you. 6 I will say to the north, Give up, and to the south, Do not withhold; bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the end of the earth,7 everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.”

8 Bring out the people who are blind, yet have eyes, who are deaf, yet have ears! 9 All the nations gather together, and the peoples assemble. Who among them can declare this, and show us the former things? Let them bring their witnesses to prove them right, and let them hear and say, It is true. 10 “You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord, “and my servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe me    and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor shall there be any after me. 11 I, I am the Lord,    and besides me there is no savior. 12 I declared and saved and proclaimed, when there was no strange god among you;    and you are my witnesses,” declares the Lord, “and I am God. 13 Also henceforth I am he; there is none who can deliver from my hand;    I work, and who can turn it back?”

14 Thus says the Lord,    your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “For your sake I send to Babylon and bring them all down as fugitives, even the Chaldeans, in the ships in which they rejoice. 15 I am the Lord, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King.”

16 Thus says the Lord, who makes a way in the sea, a path in the mighty waters, 17 who brings forth chariot and horse, army and warrior; they lie down, they cannot rise, they are extinguished, quenched like a wick: 18 “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. 19 Behold, I am doing a new thing;    now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?I will make a way in the wilderness    and rivers in the desert. 20 The wild beasts will honor me,    the jackals and the ostriches,for I give water in the wilderness,    rivers in the desert,to give drink to my chosen people, 21     the people whom I formed for myselfthat they might declare my praise.

Israel the Lord's Chosen

1 “But now hear, O Jacob my servant, Israel whom I have chosen!

2 Thus says the Lord who made you, who formed you from the womb and will help you: Fear not, O Jacob my servant, Jeshurun whom I have chosen.

3 For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour my Spirit upon your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants.

4 They shall spring up among the grass    like willows by flowing streams.

5 This one will say, ‘I am the Lord's,’    another will call on the name of Jacob, and another will write on his hand, ‘The Lord's,’    and name himself by the name of Israel.”

Observation

How wonderful the LORD is that when HE would give me HIS promises to me today along with the evidence of it being a reality since yesterday because this Shavuot season I am filled with so much BIR Problems but it is not harming me in anyway. How timely that GOD would fulfill HIS promise before even letting me know about it, giving me the dew of Heaven that I need, refreshment (meeting with Minggay over Coffee in Ayala and my book keeper Anacel) - even in the midst of Troubles, I was not shaking. Minggay seeing just how good Anacel was as a book keeper is GOD's way of letting her see just how faithfully GOD provided for me people who will be working with me. HE promised to pour out water in a dry land, HE is pouring out HIS HOLY SPIRIT in the people who don't know the LORD, who had been seeking the TRUE and LIVING GOD in people who proclaim to follow HIM but are not truly obeying HIM. HE is pouring out HIS Spirit upon all flesh! And I felt that in my Spirit since yesterday because I felt so refreshed and strong because GOD has given me such blessings!

Application

GOD is doing something new and I want to work with GOD! I want to be One with GOD, may the LORD indeed fulfill HIS good and perfect will, HIS purpose for me and my family. May we bring glory and honor to HIS name, even though it takes so much endurance to go through the difficulty and hardship and pain may the LORD have HIS way. I will continue to hold on to GOD's word and put my hope in HIS Promises! I will continue to dwell in the secret place of the Almighty and I am so thankful to be able to fast yesterday naturally, I really felt not hungry and so I was able to not eat one whole day and I want to continue to do it so may the LORD Strengthen me as I pray for everyone in the family and in the business. May HIS purpose be accomplished in my life!

Prayer

Dear ABBA,

How wonderful YOU are! How glorious and amazing! How beautiful and lovely! Thank YOU so much for acting in advance what YOU have promised to do for me today! Thank YOU that I have all things I need and want and I thank YOU for every provision!!! Thank YOU for our consultants Atty Stephen Yu, Book Keeper Anacel, Staff Cherry and Richelle who are indeed working for the company to do what is right before YOUR eyes. And I am praying that Cherry will not be in the way of this but that there be no envy between work mates but she will be grateful to Anacel for her competence, and help towards our family that there be no envy or strife between my staff and our consultants. I pray for Mom to change her mindset about Taxes and the Ph Government, that she will not see this as an enemy but a blessing to do what is right before YOUR eyes. I pray for Dad and Mom and Dean to change their ways with how they see the Government. I pray O GOD have mercy on us O LORD for the enemies have blinded us with too much lies but I thank YOU because YOU are always ready and able to save us from every trouble, and deliver us from the evil one. O GOD Almighty, today have YOUR way as I enjoy the holidays with Maimai and I go to meet someone new who will be an added blessing to the church. I pray continually for the salvation of Benita Lao and Stephen Yu that they will indeed know YOU as YOU keep calling them to follow YOU, let them respond to YOU O GOD, let them receive YOUR Truth, let them hunger and thirst for YOU O GOD let them receive the HOLY SPIRIT because they are indeed YOUR children, even Anacel and Richelle I pray that they know YOU and bring eternal salvation to their families by following JESUS. I pray O GOD even for the person I will meet today Garrik Yu that YOU will reveal YOUR plans and purpose for him and that he will be given the desire of his heart even in that old age. I pray O GOD give strength to Mom, Stephen and Anacel, by YOUR Spirit to fight for me and my family to do the right thing, help us to be obedient to YOUR WORD in Romans 3, help us to obey YOU FATHER, let YOUR justice be executed and I pray that this will not bring harm to my mother or to the people of the Philippines. I pray that YOUR will be done O GOD, I pray that YOUR glory will shine in the midst of these storms. Thank YOU O GOD!!! For YOURS is the power and the glory forever and ever! In the name of JESUS Amen!
