Scripture

Isaiah 46
The Idols of Babylon and the One True God

1 Bel bows down; Nebo stoops; their idols are on beasts and livestock; these things you carry are borne as burdens on weary beasts.
2 They stoop; they bow down together; they cannot save the burden, but themselves go into captivity.
3 “Listen to me, O house of Jacob, all the remnant of the house of Israel, who have been borne by me from before your birth, carried from the womb;
4 even to your old age I am he, and to gray hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save.
5 “To whom will you liken me and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be alike?
6 Those who lavish gold from the purse, and weigh out silver in the scales, hire a goldsmith, and he makes it into a god; then they fall down and worship!
7 They lift it to their shoulders, they carry it, they set it in its place, and it stands there; it cannot move from its place. If one cries to it, it does not answer or save him from his trouble.
8 “Remember this and stand firm, recall it to mind, you transgressors, 9 remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me,
10 declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose,’ 11 calling a bird of prey from the east, the man of my counsel from a far country. I have spoken, and I will bring it to pass; I have purposed, and I will do it.
12 “Listen to me, you stubborn of heart, you who are far from righteousness: 13 I bring near my righteousness; it is not far off, and my salvation will not delay; I will put salvation in Zion, for Israel my glory.”

Observation

What a beautiful promise from GOD that HE is as faithful as the Sun rising up and setting down, as faithful as when HIS chosen ones are born until they are nearing death, HIS love and provision for each one of us is constant because HE is faithful and HE will never cease to be faithful because of HIS love that is unfailing and everlasting. HE will declare things from the beginning before anything could ever be seen of what HE wants to do, HE will tell HIS servants HIS children HIS Plans and even though it takes a while or some time to see HIS WORD come to pass, HE does it suddenly because GOD does not change HIS mind like man does, HE is not emotionally affected by what HE feels but HE does feel emotions just as man feels many emotions. But HE is altogether trustworthy of doing what HE said HE would do.

Application

I will keep trusting GOD who has promised me that HE is giving me a good husband who loves me, HE is giving me someone who truly feels deeply for me because HE put those desires and emotions there for me just as HE put these deep desires and romantic feelings in my heart for someone. In my life, this is the one thing that has challenged my faith because I do not lack money or things but I lack love from a human husband because I do not have one yet for the longest time that I have been waiting and asking GOD for it, because it took so long in the human time clock that it seems very delayed already but GOD is faithful.... HE knows why HE delayed it for me, HE has a purpose and a reason for it's delay because even HIS timing in all things is beautiful - HE makes all things beautiful in HIS time.

Prayers

Dear AVI,

Beautiful and Faithful Loving FATHER, who loves me more than anyone else can. I need YOU to always assure me that YOU are providing for me this need and desire to have a husband. I want YOU to always assure me everyday because in my heart my faith is getting weaker that YOU will indeed do for me what YOU have promised me. I do not want to move ahead of YOU, so please continue to direct my paths, continue to assure me, continue to lead me and guide me, comfort me in all my sadness and pain of being alone. But as I continue to wait on YOU I will pray for the one YOU put in my heart to love and desire. I pray for Stephen that YOU will continue to speak to HIS heart, and call HIM YOUR Son, make him a man after YOUR own heart, let him hunger and thirst for YOUR WORD, let him know YOU like I know, encounter Stephen O GOD let him pray and talk to YOU, awaken HIS Spirit O GOD and speak to him and that YOU prepare his mother Benita to receive and love me too and the rest of his family. As YOU have been preparing me to take care of Benita and Stephen's loved ones in his house. I pray O GOD let YOUR Will be done in our lives. But I want YOU to know that even if it's not Stephen whom YOU want to give me that I am praying for my husband to be a man after YOUR own heart, who loves YOU more than anything in this world because that is how I love YOU too, that I cannot live without YOUR love and presence in my life, I exists for YOU O GOD and I thank YOU for all the blessings YOU have given me, family and good health but I pray O GOD that YOU will continue to help me live a pleasing life before YOU. For YOU alone are the reason why all things are existing and to YOU all glory and honor and praises belong to. YOU are GOD and no ONE else is like YOU!
