Hosea 2The Lord's Mercy on Israel

14 “Therefore, behold, I will allure her,    and bring her into the wilderness, and speak tenderly to her.

15 And there I will give her her vineyards    and make the Valley of Achor[b] a door of hope. And there she shall answer as in the days of her youth,    as at the time when she came out of the land of Egypt.

16 “And in that day, declares the Lord, you will call me ‘My Husband,’ and no longer will you call me ‘My Baal.’


I don't know why but since last night, the scripture in Hosea 2 yesterday has been echoing in my spirit, how does the valley of Achor (troubling) become the Door of Hope? It is so intriguing to find out how GOD is making a place of troubles to - a door of hope, only HE can do it!

Redemption of the Firstborn

40 And the Lord said to Moses, “List all the firstborn males of the people of Israel, from a month old and upward, taking the number of their names. 41 And you shall take the Levites for me—I am the Lord—instead of all the firstborn among the people of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the cattle of the people of Israel.”
44 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 45 “Take the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the people of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites instead of their cattle. The Levites shall be mine: I am the Lord. 46 And as the redemption price for the 273 of the firstborn of the people of Israel, over and above the number of the male Levites, 47 you shall take five shekels[a] per head; you shall take them according to the shekel of the sanctuary (the shekel of twenty gerahs[b]), 48 and give the money to Aaron and his sons as the redemption price for those who are over.”

Hosea Redeems His Wife

1 And the Lord said to me, “Go again, love a woman who is loved by another man and is an adulteress, even as the Lord loves the children of Israel, though they turn to other gods and love cakes of raisins.” 2 So I bought her for fifteen shekels of silver and a homer and a lethech of barley. 3 And I said to her, “You must dwell as mine for many days. You shall not play the whore, or belong to another man; so will I also be to you.” 4 For the children of Israel shall dwell many days without king or prince, without sacrifice or pillar, without ephod or household gods. 5 Afterward the children of Israel shall return and seek the Lord their God, and David their king, and they shall come in fear to the Lord and to his goodness in the latter days.

Observation
I noticed that the theme for today's reading is Redemption. What do people or things need to be redeemed? I looked up the dictionary and found out that the word "Redeem" means 1 to compensate for the faults or bad aspects of: 2 to atone or make amends for (sin, error, or evil):3 gain or regain possession of (something) in exchange for payment:Because of sinful nature, the HOLY GOD had to do something in exchange/payment for all our wrong doings. See in the Spirit, every wrong and good done is being accounted for, all our actions are being compensated or punished, because there is a JUST GOD, who executes justice all throughout the heavens and the earth. Those that live only to please themselves live carelessly because they do not fear GOD or have an awareness of HIS being and presence in the earth. They will await the final judgement even as they are already being judged on earth today so that they will turn from their sins and turn to live for GOD the KING.

Application
It is therefore our duty as believers and followers of CHRIST to bring this awareness in their minds so that they too can live a righteous life. But as for me, redemption means something deeper, I know that GOD has redeemed me from my sinful nature because of the death of HIS Son YESHUA, but I am awaiting GOD's redemption to me of the sorrow of my single life, being an unloved maiden without a human husband who actually cares for her. I am waiting for GOD's redemption to redeem all the lost years that the locust have eaten, when I could have had children by now already, my own family, but GOD has purposely delayed this important aspect in my life and even though waiting hurts every day, still I wait. As a firstborn I am awaiting for HIM to redeem my standing in this family, as GOD has redeemed my brother during his wedding when all his aunts and uncle supported the second most important decision in his life to marry a woman GOD chose for him. I don't know how GOD will do it, but I just know that even finding someone who naturally loves me is hard enough, only GOD could give me a spouse that loves HIM and me at the same time. So today I await my redemption and I continue to hope and trust in the GOD who loves me.

PrayersDear AVI,HOLY HOLY HOLY are YOU O LORD GOD Almighty, King of Glory! YESHUA Adonai Tzeva'ot! Toda for calling me to be YOUR own, but I pray O GOD, whatever it is that I am still missing to be deemed a woman worthy of love and of marriage, I pray that YOU complete that in me, because only YOU can do wonders and miracles, please GOD don't let my heart be impatient but enable me to continue to wait on YOU for the best that YOU have prepared for me. I know O GOD that YOU are always so faithful and YOUR Zeal for us causes YOU to fulfill every Promise YOU have ever spoken but I pray that YOU align my heart and mind to YOUR Perfect will. I pray that YOU will continue to take away any feelings, any biases, any negativity, any trauma, that is altering the way I am following YOU. YOU already got everything figured out, YOU are just waiting for that moment and time where YOU will bring me all that YOU have promised me.... O GOD, I pray give me moments to refresh myself in YOU because I am so tired of serving without YOU filling me up. Fill me up with YOUR SPIRIT and with YOUR love because I cannot move or do anything without YOU. In YOU I move and have my being and so I call forth to YOU My KING, please send me to YOUR Perfect will, lead me always to YOUR plans for me and assure me that I am indeed in the right path. YOU are about to do a miracle, I will continue to believe that that miracle is here. It is right now! Because YOU are the GOD of now! I AM, YOU are the GREAT I AM, YOU are all that matters! The way YOU love Israel like Hosea loving a prostitute woman is the way YOU love me and the church, YOU are so passionate in all that YOU do and that's what I really love about YOU!
Thank YOU JESUS, all glory belongs to YOU! My KING forever, Amen!

Event The Meeting in the afternoon Here and Now I feel disappointed over Stephen's reaction to our text message yesterday but I just set it aside because I have already decided to let him go as a future mate but not as our lawyer.
