SOAP

Scriptures:

2 Thessalonians 1

Thanksgiving

3 We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers,[a] as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing.

4 Therefore we ourselves boast about you in the churches of God for your steadfastness and faith in all your persecutions and in the afflictions that you are enduring.

The Judgment at Christ's Coming

5 This is evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be considered worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are also suffering—

6 since indeed God considers it just to repay with affliction those who afflict you,

7 and to grant relief to you who are afflicted as well as to us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels 

Observation:

Giving thanks in all circumstances is a very important TO DO for every believer and follower of CHRIST. I believe this is one of the BE ATTITUDES because when we give thanks our attitude for life lighten up, even amidst trouble, if we give thanks, we force ourselves to see the good inspite of the bad of whatever is happening. We continue to give thanks for people whose faith are also persevering, and we wait for the day of GOD's judgement to judge those who have been afflicting us with pain and sorrow. Since GOD always repays those who afflict us not only when HE returns gloriously in the heavens but even today GOD's judgement is being executed on earth while we wait for HIS great return.

Application:

I give thanks even after GOD has taken one of my worker away to rest eternally, even though she plays a very important role because it may mean GOD has someone better for me who can be more effective and efficient. I give thanks because my burdens are also being lightened up, when someone new takes over and does a better job. I give thanks for the ones who remain working with us who have a better attitude at working. I give thanks to GOD continually because giving thanks is an act of faith that pushes me to keep believing that GOD has his best interest for me, always planning the good for me. Sometimes, one needs to DO the Command first before we experience a change in our moods and attitudes, so I believe it is faith to give thanks, and giving thanks increases one's faith.

Prayer:

Dear AVI,

HOLY are YOU O LORD MY GOD, who rules and reigns over the Heavens and the Earth, KING of the Universe, YESHUA Adonai Tzeva'ot who fights for me. I praise YOU O GOD, for YOU are good and YOUR love endures forever! YOU are faithful throughout all generations. O GOD, thank YOU for YOUR goodness and faithfulness to me and my family and to the ones who have been working for us. Toda Raba for YOUR grace and favor. I thank YOU that Richelle, Jane and Cherry continue to work for us with positive attitude, fearing YOU and loving YOU. I pray O GOD, let YOUR mercy surround Ciriaca Chua and rid her of all bitterness and envy and I pray she will learn to be grateful of her life and how she has lived. I pray for good health upon all my family and even unto the people connected to us. I pray O GOD may YOUR glory always cover and protect me, YOUR presence always be strong surrounding me. Let me always stay in YOUR presence O GOD Almighty because this world is tough, it is very hard, so many troubles but YOU are my GOD who always takes care of me. I pray for the Spirit of gratefulness to fill our hearts. Fill us O GOD, fill us with YOUR love and TRUTH, I pray for Dad and Mom, especially Mom to bless David in his wedding with Kim. I pray O GOD, that we will all be happy for him this Sunday and that YOUR grace will continue to sustain us always. I pray O GOD that YOU will fill me with YOUR TRUTH, LOVE and Peace each and every day. I pray that YOU call Stephen and Dominic to follow YOU and that whoever responds to YOU will be blessed and favored. I pray that YOU save Benita, Lucio and the rest of Stephens' siblings, all his family to enter YOUR Kingdom. I pray the same for my Ako and Diko who are in Canada and all my cousins to know YOU and follow YOU even as they are with us I pray that they will see YOUR hand at work and will follow YOU too O GOD. I thank YOU for my husband whom YOU have prepared for me, and I for him, I thank YOU that he is a man after YOUR heart that he will devote himself to serving YOU in the gifts that YOU have blessed him with. I pray that YOU will continue to speak to him about me and the family that YOU have planned for us to have. I pray for our children to grow in loving YOU as they grow in their years. I pray O GOD, take care of my husband even when I don't know him yet preserve him for me and bless him O KING JESUS. Please bless our union, bring us together soon.
